Geode Connect is an easy-to-use app providing basic configuration, settings, and quality info for your Geode Real-time Sub-meter GPS Receiver. This multi-platform application is available for iPhone and iPad and devices running Windows PC, Windows Embedded Handheld, and Android. Geode Connect provides a quick, easy, and stress-free way to set up and start communicating with your Geode receiver.

AUTO-CONNECT AND AUTO-DETECT

Simply turn on your Geode receiver, launch the Geode Connect application, and the Geode Connect will then locate all nearby Bluetooth^® devices and display your Geode receiver at the top of the list. Click on the name of your device matching the serial number printed on the bottom of the receiver, and the software will set up a communications port. Best of all, when you turn it on the next day, Geode Connect remembers the last connection and immediately connects with your Geode.

CONFIGURATION SCREEN

The configuration screens are laid out in a simple, logical pattern for ease of use, with the basic environment settings at the top and more 'advanced' user settings in additional menus. Forget what the 'GPGSV' message means? No worries. Descriptive help text is provided for every command and setting throughout the app.

COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL

A communications terminal view is provided for the 'hacker' in all of us, to view the actual data being provided from the Geode, and where commands can be entered to change the receiver configuration. But don't worry, a simple 'restore defaults' command is included in the user settings in case things get out of control.

When connected to a Geode, the new Location Provider Service allows Geode Connect to continue to run while the application in closed. This provides Geode location information to all applications on the device.
