In order to create an accurate and detailed overview sheet, Movie Thumbnails uses the file’s metadata and the data collected from the video. Thus, your contact sheets will contain the file name and size, video resolution, duration, date, the number of frames per second and the name of the video codec used for the file.

What is more, Movie Thumbnails is capable to batch process multiple files at the same time and it can be automated by using AppleScripts. Movie Thumbnails also comes with support for QuickTime Plugins, a wide variety of video file formats and opacity settings for PNG and TIFF formats.

From Movie Thumbnails’ main window you can easily add the desired files, select the output folder and enable the “Stop on errors” option. By accessing the Settings tab, you can set the tiles grid and size along with the horizontal and vertical gaps. You can also change the background color and the quality of the thumbnails.

You can set the Title border color and adjust its thickness and add the time stamp in the top or bottom left or right corner. What is more, you can also add your own watermark and adjust its opacity level. The Movie metadata panel helps you choose the text color and select the information included in the thumbnail sheet. As a result, you can include file name, file size, resolution, duration, codec, date, FPS and data rate.
